| According to the country’s statistical agency, Poland’s economy grew by 6.5 per cent last year, the fastest pace in a decade. The agency attributed the performance to strong production and construction, particularly residential building, which boomed last year. The year 2007 saw the best building output performance in dozen or so years, and the number of apartments and houses delivered will likely exceed 130,000. Private developers have begun construction of ca. 80 thousand new residential units countrywide, twice as many as three years before, due to the great growth of third tier cities, to be analyzed at CEMP’s Symposium. |
